From a 2015 trend to becoming a 2016 wardrobe essential, the off-the-shoulder trend has made it’s way into the hearts of the fashionable and it looks like its not going anywhere anytime soon. It can easily go from dressy to casual and everything in between, talk about flirty and cute in balance. I for one have fallen in love with this trend and recently got myself a few off-the-shoulder tops & dresses one of which is the black lace top I’m sporting here & i cant wait to style the others for you guys so be expectant!

I found this lace top (no it’s not a dress :-p) on an Instagram store (can’t remember the name) and knew immediately that i had to have it. There was also a nude one with a different type of pattern which i regret not purchasing because fast forward 2weeks later when i decided to, it was gone Image may be NSFW.

What i love most about these off-the-shoulder tops and dresses is that they also come as free pieces. This makes them perfect for those days when you plan to eat-all-you-can at a party / event and don’t want to be bothered about an embarrassing food bump coming through. Now if that’s not winning then i don’t know what is (can i get an Amen from the foodies!?!).

I paired mine with this green lace skirt that i got at an amazing deal!! Black pumps with a gold back detail and minimal accessorizing because less is more. This is ideal for dinners and would work as a wedding guest outfit.

Can we take one minute to appreciate my hair??? I installed this crotchet myself (as i always do my other hairstyles) and it is life yo! I used Marley hair as my natural hair is currently due for relaxing (#teamnatural was not made for me sorry) so it blends perfectly well and so many people thought / still think it’s my hair lol. Very lightweight and easy maintenance..what more can i ask for in this summer heat?
